NRC to be implemented in Haryana, says CM Manohar Lal Khattar

After Assam, Haryana is set to become next BJP-ruled state to implement National Register of Citizens (NRC). Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar made the announcement after a meeting in Panchkula. The announcement came just ahead of forthcoming polls in Haryana. Assembly polls will be held in Haryana along with Maharashtra and Jharkhand sometime in November-December. Several political parties slammed the BJP’s move to implement NRC in Assam. Widespread protests were also witnessed after around 19 lakh people were excluded from the final NRC list in Assam.
