KADIPIKONDA (WARANGAL): Gloom and grief loomed over Kadipikonda village in Kazipet mandal after news broke that boat carrying 60 people to a tourist spot capsized in the Godavari in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
Out of 60 people who were on the boat, 14 of them belonged to SC colony in Kadipikonda village. All the people on-board worked as daily wage workers and painters.
While five people out of the 14 who were on the boat escaped narrowly, nine of them are said to be missing.

The youngest among the nine missing people was B Avinash, a 21-year-old who was a student at Industrial Training Institute in Kazipet.
"I have lost everything in my life with this incident. After my husband's death, I was just living for my sons. I cannot bear this pain," cried Kavita Rani, Avinash's mother who was inconsolable.
While everyone in Kadipikonda's SC Colony worked as daily wage workers or painters, Avinash's mother ensured that her sons continued their education after her husband's death while she worked as a daily wage worker.
Among those who are still missing is B Rajender, a 50-year-old daily wage worker. Rajender's daughter, Rajini lost consciousness on hearing the news that the boat on which her father was capsized.

"Rajender called on Sunday morning and said that he was going to visit Papikondalu and would return home after that," said Rajender's mother.
B Dharmaraju (38), B Prasad (32), B Sunil (28) , S Venkataiah (62), G Rajender (40), K Rajkumar (33) and K Ravi (37) were among those who are said to be missing in the incident.
Meanwhile, Kazipet ACP Narsing Rao said, "We have contacted East Godavari police and are trying to get all the details of the missing people from SC Colony. We are in constant touch with the teams there and have set up a control room for the family members and friends."
