St. John College Dimapur organises photography workshop

Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): The photography club of St. John College, Dimapur conducted a one-day workshop on basic photography skills in the college campus with Atsen Murry, a renowned wedding photographer and owner of ‘Pixel Stories’, as the resource person.

This was stated in an update issued by St. John media cell on Monday.

The opening session was conducted by the college principal and a keen amateur photographer, Prof. Janetius. He gave a clear picture of different kinds of cameras and lens used by professional photographers for shooting different objects and situations.

In the second session, Murry trained the students on technical elements like composing photos besides sharing his experience. He also encouraged the students to be open to the unique needs of Naga people in Nagaland.

The participants were divided into small groups and asked to take pictures in a restricted time limit, and the best teams were awarded with prizes. The participating students were also introduced to various kinds of photography and helped to choose their favourite style of photography based on their personal preferences.

A total of 23 students from different departments participated in the workshop and certificates were given to them at the end of the session. The workshop was organised by Magical Lens photography club president Temjenrenla.
