MEN WITH SLEDGEHAMMER, GUN BREAK GUARD'S ARM

A security guard at a northern suburbs pub has suffered a broken arm after he heroically stopped two armed bandits.

Two men, armed with a sledgehammer and gun, entered the gaming room of a Mawson Lakes pub on Main St about 1.15am today and demanded money.

The security guard, however, stopped the would-be robbers in their tracks.

He had his arm broken during the altercation and was treated at hospital.

The two men dropped the sledgehammer and drove off in a silver four-door sedan.

One of the suspects was wearing an afro wig, black jumper, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.

The other man was wearing a grey t-shirt around his face with an olive green jacket, black pants and white shoes.
