Mumbai: Man posts ex's nude photo, threatens her

MUMBAI: The Versova police arrested a 29-year-old man on Saturday for allegedly threatening his former girlfriend and posting her naked photograph on her account on a messaging app in a bid to pressure her to withdraw a complaint she had filed against him in Pune.
The complainant, who is an interior designer, met the accused, Yash Thacker, in January and they soon got into a relationship.But when Thacker started to misbehave with her, she registered a complaint against him in Pune, the police said.
The complainant told the police that on August 19, Thacker kept calling her repeatedly. Finally, when she answered his call at 3am, he told her to withdraw her complaint. When she refused, he threatened to circulate her obscene pictures that he had on his phone. But she hung up.
Minutes later, Thacker reportedly posted her nude photograph on her account, and also on a public platform where all her contacts could view it. Around 3.04am, he called her back and told her to withdraw her case, else he would "break her arm".
She told the police that on August 23, Thacker told her he had more obscene pictures of hers which he would circulate on other social media accounts. She then lodged a complaint with the Versova police, who arrested him on Saturday.
