Riley hits two home runs in Cramerton softball win

Boys soccer

East Lincoln 9, Lake Norman Charter 2: Chase Gilley and Logan Gilley both scored twice, while Pearson Cunningham, Blake Swanson, Jody Benson, Luke Felts and Luis Ojeda-Ferrer added goals of their own in the Mustangs’ win. Chase Gilley, Noah Graden and Jackson Tharp each had two assists, while Cunningham and Swanson also offered an assist.

North Gaston 5, Hunter Huss 4: Ayush Neupane had two goals and two assists for North Gaston, with teammates Jose Montanez, Tommy Austin-Zimmerman and Isco Ayala also scoring in the Wildcats’ win.

Kings Mountain 6, Stuart Cramer 3: Danny Carley had a goal and an assist, while Riley Washburn had a goal and an assist to help the Mountaineers to a win. Dylan Platt, Josh Visoso and Christian Quevedo-Johns each scored a goal. Tristan Stenger had two assists, and Dillon Messenger earned the win in goal.

Piedmont Community Charter 3, Carolina International 0: The Patriots swept via a 25-18, 25-16, 25-6 win.

Gaston Day 5, SouthLake Christian 4: Bennett Jewell, Leanne Kelledy, Isabell Wallwork, Madeleine Singh and Charlotte Moore each earned singles wins for the Spartans.

Mount Holly 19, W.C. Friday 4: Kylee Kloiber reached base three times, while Jordan McCorkle, Madison Lee, K.T. Fout and Lexi Birtwhistle each scored twice. Pitchers Hadley Womack and Kyndall Godley teamed up for the win.

Chavis 16, Stanley 0: Laila Davis allowed one hit while striking out six, while Landyn McBride, Krista Davis and Laila Davis each had multiple hits. Alexis McSwain, Ava Miller, Taylor Digh and Chloee Stroupe also offered a hit.

Cramerton 15, Southwest 0: Blair Riley hit two home runs and had six RBIs, while Olivia Hensley, Lily Cabe, Cailey Evans, Carli Chavis, Kayla Johnson and Madison Bridges each had hits. Evans and Cabe combined to pitch Cramerton to victory.

Golf

Cramerton 146, Mount Holly 206, Holbrook 214, Bessemer City 239: Rich Willis shot a score of 29, rolling in two putts for eagle to take medalist honors at Cherryville Country Club.
