Man fatally shot in Capitol Heights, Prince George’s police say

A man was fatally shot Monday night in the Capitol Heights area of Prince George’s County, police said.

They said the man was found about 8:50 p.m. in the 4100 block of Byers Street near Nova Avenue. Officers went there in response to a report of a shooting.

The man, who was unresponsive, was taken to a hospital, where he died. Police later identified the victim as Tyler Alexander Wilson, 26, of Fredericksburg, Va.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case, police said.
