FEGOCOWOSA holds fourth annual sports carnival

The Federal Government College Warri Old Students Association, Lagos branch, is set to hold her fourth annual sports carnival on September 28 at the Cricket Oval, TafawaBalewa Square, Onikan.

This was disclosed by the association’s publicity secretary, Miss Elvira Edoh, on Monday through a press release.

“The sports carnival is in its fourth edition and it is meant to bring old students of the school and those from other unity schools together to celebrate the spirit of sportsmanship, friendship and the spirit of oneness.

“The event will also provide platform for networking among Unity Schools Old Students Association members and invited guests,” it read.

The Chairman of the association, Mrs Lillian Amah-Aluko, through the secretary also added that the sports carnival was meant to sustain the tradition of sporting competitions which celebrate physical excellence and promote unity amongst members.

Sporting activities lined up in this year’s edition are football matches, athletics, USOSA and FEGOCOWOSA novelty competitions, board games like chess, scrabble, ludo, ayo.

There will also be free basic health checks and cervical cancer screening at this year’s edition.
