Two would-be robbers on scooters apparently tried to upgrade their rides in an attack on Capitol Hill on Monday evening, according to a police account.
According to the police account, the would-be robbers, both apparently teenagers, showed up on neon-red “Jump” rental scooters.
After pushing the victim to the ground, they tried to wrest his scooter from him, the police said.
But, they said, the victim fended them off and called for help. The assailants fled, police said.
Police said they were looking for two black male teenagers about 16 or 17 years old, with short hair, operating Jump rental scooters.
