To some, it might seem like Kourtney Kardashian is perhaps the least ambitious Kardashian-Jenner when it comes to business ventures. Of course, this is absolutely NOT TRUE (see: Poosh), and Kourt would be quick to tell you that. But in comparison to her sisters’ multimillion/billion-dollar modeling contracts, beauty business endeavors, and clothing line efforts, Kourtney’s critics love to claim that she’s “fallen behind.” Naturally, that puts huge pressure on Kourtney, to the point where she’s considered leaving the show that launched her and her sisters’ careers—Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
During a celebrity guest appearance on the daytime talk show The Real, Kourtney was asked about the rumors surrounding her departure from KUWTK. “So, every day is different,” Kourtney replied, confirming that, yes, the thought has crossed her mind. “Oh, so you actually considered it?” cohost Jeannie Mai asked her. “Yeah,” Kourtney admitted. “But at the current moment, I’m happy and very into my blessings and feeling very good, but I definitely have my moments ’cause, I mean, life is short.”
Later in the program, cohost Loni Love asked Kourtney about her sister Kylie Jenner and how Kylie’s billionaire status puts pressure on Kourt and her other sisters. “Subconsciously, it makes us feel like, ‘When is it enough?’” Kourtney explained. “And I think that’s a thing I always think to myself, When is it enough? because I don’t like missing out on certain things like doing my kids’ homework or certain after-school activities or different things like that.”
It’s not hard to understand why Kourtney might feel like this from time to time. I mean, if my youngest sister were a filthy-rich businesswoman, I think I would feel a certain way about it too. But thankfully, despite the pressure Kourtney might feel, it doesn’t sound like she’s leaving KUWTK anytime soon—thank god! Because where would we be without gems like “Kim, there’s people that are dying”???
