Senior officials, cabinet ministers and representatives of the private sector are taking part in a forum taking place in Sofia “Interaction between public and private security: Strategic role of public-private partnership for countering cyber threats.”

Interior Minister Mladen Marinov stated that after the recent hacker attack against the National Revenue Agency there have been dozens of attempts to hack state institutions every day. Emphasis was laid on the fact that the salaries of cyber security experts are low and hiring highly qualified experts is a problem. Discussions also focused on the need of good international cooperation and the unifcation of national legislations to better address cybercrime on a world scale.
