Sadhvi Pragya vents anger on Sehore media, calls them 'beimaan'

Sadhvi Pragya vents anger on Sehore media, calls them 'beimaan'
BHOPAL: Known for her controversial remarks, BJP Lok Sabha member from Bhopal, Pragya Singh Thakur sparked another row when she vented her anger against the local media in Sehore by calling them `beimaan' (dishonest). The state Congress and Sehore Journalists have condemned Pragya's remarks and demanded action.
"Ek bhi imandar nahi hai. Hum bol rahe hain, suno tumhari taarif.
Jitne bhi media ke (laughing) Sehore ke mediawale hain sab beimaan hain" (Not one is honest. I am speaking listen your praise. All the media persons in Sehore are dishonest)," said Pragya while laughing out her anger against local media during the birthday celebrations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in Sehore on Tuesday.
The BJP leader, who arrived here to participate in a local gathering initially refused to talk to reporters and media persons. When they shot a volley of questions on her absence in the constituency, she could not control her flare of rage and further said, "journalists cannot do any harm to me."
Pragya had reached Sehore to attend a programme after almost two months after she had sparked controversy while addressing a meeting of BJP workers saying that she was not elected as MP to `clean the toilets'.
"Keep this in mind... We are not here for cleaning a drain. Is it clear?. We are absolutely not (here) for cleaning your toilets. The work which we are supposed to do and elected for, we will do it honestly. This we had said in the past, saying it today and stick to it in future as well," Pragya had told party workers who raised local problems and requested her to visit the place regularly.
Pragya's statement went viral on social media sites and caused a big embarrassment to the BJP after which the party's national working president, JP Nadda had summoned Pragya to New Delhi headquarters and conveyed her the party leadership's displeasure with her comments made at Sehore.

Pragya held local media responsible for making her video viral and refused to comment during her visit. When asked repeatedly about her visit she called them `beimaan' (dishonest). After her remarks, local journalists gathered at the Kotwali police state in Sehore and handed over a complain for action against the Pragya. They have also asked former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is a MLA from Sehore district, to react on Pragya's statement.
The Madhya Pradesh Congress has also condemned Pragya's comments calling journalists dishonest. "This is Sadhvi Pragya who had hailed Mahatma Gandhi's killer Nathuram Godse as a "patriot", mocked the martyrdom of ATS chief Hemant Karkare and now calling the journalists as dishonest. How long PM Modi will pardon her?" asked Congress state media coordinator, Narendra Singh Saluja.
The state BJP has also distanced itself from Pragya's remarks. "What was the reference of Pragya ji's statement against journalists is not known to us. Pragya ji better knows about it", said BJP state spokesperson, Deepak Vijayavargiya.
