Bollywood star Salman Khan made heads turn at an event he attended last evening when he stepped up on the red carpet with a young girl who happened to be his ‘Dabangg 3’ co-star Saiee Manjrekar. This being her official debut at an award show, the starlet had everyone sitting up and taking note of her and her fashion choices for the evening.
For those coming in late, Saiee, the daughter of actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar, will be making her film debut oppose Salman Khan in the upcoming cop-actioner directed by Prabhudheva.
Joining the ranks of actresses like Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah and the younger lot including Pranutan Bahl and Athiya Shetty, who were all launched by the star.

At the event, Salman was all praise for his young new co-star, who he will reportedly romance in a flashback scene in the film. "She is very good hence she is in 'Dabangg 3'. Her father was in the first 'Dabangg',” Salman was quoted saying. He even went on to point out that he had introduced Sonakshi, in the same manner, many years ago.

Although much about this young new talent has been kept under wraps, it has been reported that Salman is taking a special interest in Saiee to make sure she gets the debut she deserves. It wasn't until her role in 'Dabangg 3' was announced that her Instagram profile was made public for all to see. With a Salman Khan film as her debut project, there was no wonder why she quickly became a rage on social media and gained fans by the numbers.

Going by her photos from the last few months, Saiee has come a long way from being the girl next door to quickly learning the ropes of the Bollywood game. From giving fans a peek into her life with pout-perfect selfies, Saiee left everyone wanting more when she stepped up her style game in an intricate lehenga.

Off the Gram, however, she has been keeping a rather low profile. This move is reportedly because her mentor is taking an active interest in nurturing her and getting her Bollywood ready.

Contrary to common belief, bagging 'Dabangg 3' was no cakewalk for Saiee. According to reports, Khan met the young talent for the first time when she was a kid and met her again after many years. On seeing her, he was reportedly convinced that this was the right face for his film and that she would fit the part perfectly. However, as he was not sure of her acting skills, the team was informed that she needed a screen test, and it was Salman would make the final decision.
In an exclusive conversation with Etimes, dad Mahesh Manjrekar shared his excitement about his daughter’s big Bollywood debut and said, "It's a proud moment when your children get to do what they want and it's a great feeling. She always wanted to become an actor and now she has got a great film to make her debut with so am obviously very happy for her."

The film will see Mahesh reprising his role of Haria from the first instalment and will also see him sharing screen space with his daughter. Speaking on the joy of sharing the frame with his baby girl, he said, “We do have a scene as I do have a small role in the film as I have already died in the first part of the film. But it was a great moment as not just me but even my wife and daughter were there together which is a very rare thing you'll see on the screen."
With award season only just getting started, fans can expect to see this young star make several appearances over the months leading up to the film’s release this December.
