Dream Girl box office collection Day 7: Ayushmann Khurrana film eyes Rs 75 crore
Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl is doing well at the box office. The film is eyeing to cross Rs 75 crore.
Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl is on a dream run right from the moment it hit the theatres. The film crossed the Rs 50-crore mark on Monday (September 16) and is in no mood to stop minting big bucks at the box office.
Even on weekdays the film did well. On Tuesday, the film minted Rs 7.40 crore and Rs 6.75 crore on Wednesday. On Thursday, it earned Rs 6.05 crore, thus taking the total collection to Rs 72.20 crore.

Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan's The Zoya Factor has hit the theatres today. The Sonam Kapoor-starrer might give a stiff competition to the Ayushmann Khurrana film. However, going by the past record of Ayushmann's films, Dream Girl is likely to do well despite other new releases.
Dream Girl is being loved by the audience, especially because Ayushmann is seen in a unique avatar in the film. He is playing the role of a guy who can talk in a woman's voice. Dream Girl's crackling comedy and the word of mouth promotion is helping the film bag big bucks.

Though the numbers are in favour of Dream Girl, the film reveived mixed reviews from the critics. Our reviewer, Charu Thakur gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. She wrote, "This comedy of errors starts on a promising note but loses its sheen in the second half. With too many plot twists, a variety of characters squeezed in and a sombre climax, Dream Girl fails to live up to its hype."
Apart from Ayushmann, the film also stars Nushrat Bharucha and Annu Kapoor. Talking about the performances in the film, our reviewer wrote, "Ayushmann Khurrana and Annu Kapoor make up for it with their brilliant performances; reminiscent of Vicky Donor. Ayushmann once again proves that he can pull off any role with elan. He plays the character to perfection, getting the nuances right. Annu Kapoor’s brilliant comic timing makes Dream Girl an entertaining watch. His transformation from a lonely and disgruntled father to a lovelorn aashiq is absolute genius."
Dream Girl's brilliant performance at the box office has added another feather to Ayushmann's cap.
