A woman has described her shock at seeing a 'face and hand pointing' at her baby in her 12-week pregnancy scan picture - and believes it's a guardian angel looking over her unborn child.

Britainy Clark and her partner James Grouvel, both 24, thought they wouldn't be able to have children of their own after doctors told her it wasn't possible.

She was diagnosed with endometriosis, a condition which causes tissue similar to the lining of the womb to grow in other places such as the ovaries and fallopian tubes.

Britainy, who lives in Swindon, told Mirror Online: "Originally I was told I wasn't able to have children because of my endometriosis. They said it would be really hard for me so it was quite a shock to have this one.

"I was proper shocked I got pregnant, it was actually my partner that realised and I refused to believe it.

"I was getting quite sick and he said I might be, so I took two tests and a clear blue as well. It was amazing."

But when they got their picture from their 12-week scan, Britainy was worried that something seemed "not right" about the snap.

She said: "I sent the photo to my auntie and mum in a group text as I thought there's something not quite right about it.

She had spotted an odd shadow in the top right hand corner, but her relatives had a very sweet theory.

Can you see the face and hand?

She said: "They both said there's a face and there's a hand pointing at it!

"My auntie said that there's a guardian angel looking over it [the baby] which I thought is quite sweet.

"My mum said it must be good luck because of all the bad luck I've had previously."

And, other than the supernatural image in the photo, the scan all went smoothly - meaning the happy couple are now planning for their little miracle.

"We have been waiting for the 12-week scan as anything can happen up to then," Britainy said. "But it's good we can start preparing now."
