Luxury ‘Glamtainer’ that has all the comforts of a hotel stay

Move over glamping, the latest glamorous trend in holidaying is the “Glamtainer” — and it’s much more comfortable than any type of camping.

This is a 7m “luxury cabin” complete with an indoor fireplace, double-glazed windows, a queen size bed, a kitchen and bathroom, outdoor bathtub and deck.

The ‘Glamtainer’ will be at the NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort this summer.

The best part is that it’s easily transportable on a standard flat-bed truck, with NRMA shipping two of these renovated containers to its Ocean Beach Holiday Resort over the summer holidays before taking them to Jindabyne Holiday Park for the winter ski season.

It’s the first of its kind in Australia, said NRMA spokesman Paul Morton.

“Think of it like the hip hotels of camping for couples or families,” he said.

The “Glamtainer” is connected to the tiny house trend, as more people are choosing to downsize the space they live in, simplify, and live with less.
