It was a lovely Saturday evening for the makers of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's starrer, 'Gully Boy' as the film got lucky with it's official entry to 92nd Academy Awards.
Few hours back there were reports that in total there are 28 films from India who were battling it out to represent the nation this year for the Oscars and Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' just got lucky as the Film Federation of India announced the film's official entry on Saturday evening.Celebrated actor-filmmaker Aparna Sen was the head of the jury for this year's selection committee.
"Gully Boy", produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, featured Ranveer as an up-and-coming rapper who sets out to achieve his dream by rhyming about his life on the Mumbai streets.
Farhan Akhtar was the first B-town celeb to congratulate the team and share the news with the fans as the film was one of the most critically-acclaimed Hindi movies of 2019. However not just Farhan, but within a short period of time, many B-town celebs took to their social media handles to wish the team and congratulate for the milestone.
