  • Aaron Ramsey scored his first Juventus goal on his home debut and first start
  • Strike brought equaliser after Juve fell behind to shock Hellas Verona goal
  • Cristiano Ronaldo provided assist for Ramsey's long range deflected strike
  • Juventus secured the victory as a second half Ronaldo penalty saw off Verona

Goals from Aaron Ramsey and Cristiano Ronaldo helped Juventus to come from behind to beat Hellas Verona 2-1 at the Juventus Stadium on Saturday.

With league leaders Inter Milan not in action until their derby clash with AC Milan later on Saturday, Juventus were looking to return to the top of Serie A, having drawn against Fiorentina last time out.

Juventus, who let slip a two-goal lead in their draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League in midweek, fell behind early on as Miguel Veloso found the top corner in the 20th minute after the visitors had missed an earlier penalty.

However, Ramsey, on his first start for his new club, equalised 11 minutes later, before Ronaldo scored what proved to be the winner from the penalty spot four minutes into the second half, with Marash Kumbulla sent off late on for the visitors.

Aaron Ramsey wasted little time in settling in at Juventus after scoring on his first start for the club in their Serie A clash with Hellas Verona.

The former Arsenal midfielder equalised for the Bianconeri after 31 minutes, collecting a pass from Cristiano Ronaldo before drilling home a deflected effort.

Ramsey's appearance is just his second for the club having made his debut midweek in the Champions League.

The Welshman came on for the final three minutes of Juve's game at Atletico Madrid but was unable to prevent his side from conceding a last minute goal to draw 2-2 at the Wanda Metropolitano.

It marked a long comeback from injury for the 28-year-old who had not played since picking up a muscular injury in his final game for Arsenal in a Europa League tie at Napoli in April.

Ramsey's goal also comes on his home debut for the club, and helped Juventus equalise after a stunning opening goal from Miguel Veloso.

The Verona midfielder gave his side a shock lead in the 20th minute seconds after they hit the post from a penalty and the crossbar from the resulting rebound.

Maurizio Sarri's team have made a positive enough start to the season as they look to win the Serie A title for the ninth season in a row.

Sarri's team won their two opening games before drawing at Fiorentina last time out.

It put them joint level with Bologna as they sit behind Inter Milan who have won all three of their opening games under former Juve boss Antonio Conte.
