LUCKNOW: With the Yamuna and Betwa rivers flowing above the danger mark in Hamirpur and water entering low-lying areas, the district administration reported that six polling booths were inundated and had to be shifted with just a day left for casting of votes.
“We changed eight booths, six due to flooding and two because of technical reasons. Two booths each in Diggi and Kesariya Dera, and one each in Chandoli Teer and Paraojha are hit by flood waters,” said ADM, Vinay Prakash Srivastava.
“We do not have reports of any village being cut off.
Polling is likely to take place as scheduled since water is expected to clear further,” said a senior official.
