NEW DELHI: A day after a couple was robbed at gunpoint near Connaught Place, the cops have scanned the CCTV footage from at least half a dozen cameras, but none of them could provide a clear photograph of the accused.
Meanwhile, a police team on Saturday also visited the couple's house to record their statement on their allegation that the cops wasted five hours discussing jurisdictional issues, following which they have initiated an inquiry against the policemen who attended them.

The husband, Vinod Singh Bhandari, said he described the route he took to escape the robbers to the cops, following which the investigators returned with some footage. "But none of them were clear. I have also suggested them to scan the footage from the cameras around C-hexagon as I suspect the men followed my scooter from a distance," he added.
The cops are also scanning through the dossiers of the criminals with a similar physical appearance and trying to match them to the image in the footage.
Bhandari said he drove through KG Marg to reach Tolstoy Marg to evade the criminals. But, as he reached Tolstoy Marg crossing, he assumed that the criminals had stopped following them and decided to take a U-turn to pick up a bag he had dropped a few metres away. However, as soon as he took the U-turn, the accused reappeared.
"I found a lot of CCTV cameras installed at the shops and roadside, but the cops are yet to show me the footage with a clear image of the accused," he claimed. The couple, meanwhile, has sought the case to be transferred to a specialised unit for probe. Bhandari's wife, Amrita Bohra, who suffered a fracture on her shoulder due to the fall from the scooter, underwent a surgery on Saturday to relocate her shoulder bone.
