Minor girl raped and filmed in UP's Kaushambi, one arrested

ALLAHABAD: A special investigation team (SIT) was formed on Sunday to arrest two of the three men who allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl and filmed the act in Ghosia village under Saray Akil police station of Kaushambi district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday evening.
One of the three accused identified as Mohd Nazim (20), a resident of Saray Akil, was arrested on Saturday. Police are looking for Mohd Chotka (20), alias Atankwadi, and Badka (22), both brothers and residents of Ghosia village.
Kaushambi SP Pradeep Gupta said an FIR under various sections of the IPC, SC/ST Act and Pocso Act was lodged against the three men at Saray Akil police station.“One of the accused has been arrested. An SIT, comprising a DSP and two inspector-rank officers, has been constituted. Five teams under it are conducting raids to catch the offenders,” the SP added.
Statement of the minor girl was recorded on Saturday night and a compensation of Rs 4.12 lakh was sanctioned to her. Police are planning to invoke the National Security Act (NSA) against the three accused once all of them are arrested, said a senior police officer.
