    NEW DELHI: WhatsApp said on Sunday that it was selected by the Texas India Forum (TIF) as a partner for distributing event passes and providing service for attendees ahead of the Howdy Modi event in Houston, Texas.
    Over 50,000 people will come together at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, for the community summit in honor of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. The live audience will be the second largest gathering for an invited foreign leader visiting the United States.

    Through the WhatsApp Business API, event attendees can text “FAQ” to 409-204- 6939 on WhatsApp, retrieve their event passes, and get access to event information related to parking, transportation, programme schedule, language translations and more, the company said.

    The WhatsApp Business API enables large organizations and businesses—from airlines to ride-sharing apps—to connect with their customers.

    Over 100 enterprises and companies in the fintech space, online insurance companies, hospitality and travel aggregators are using WhatsApp’s business API in India to communicate and exchange information with customers.
