Way to go for great association between India, US: Salman Khan on Howdy, Modi event

Actor Salman Khan on Sunday reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address to the Indian diaspora at the 'Howdy, Modi' event in Houston along with United States President, Donald Trump.

Taking to Twitter, Salman Khan said, "Way to go PM Modi and President Donald Trump for a great association between the two nations [US and India]." He also tagged the two leaders in his tweet.

Salman Khan's reaction came after PM Modi and Donald Trump addressed close to 50,000 Indian-Americans at the 'Howdy, Modi' event.

Anupam Kher also praised the 'Howdy, Modi' event, saying everything about it was "spectacular".

"Everything about #HowdyModi was SPECTACULAR. Never have I seen such bonding between two countries. Reaction & cheering of the crowd of 50000 Indians in Houston was emotional & historical. And Hon. Prime Minister @narendramodi ji!! You are a real ROCKSTAR. Bravo. Jai Ho!" he said.

Film director Shekhar Kapur, too, reacted to PM Modi's address to the Indian community in the United States.

In a tweet, Shekhar Kapur said that it was "amazing" that a leader of a nation has a "rock star effect overseas" and to watch "Narendra Modi holding 50,000 people with his words".

"It's amazing how one leader of a Nation can have such a 'rock star' effect overseas. It's amazing watching Narendra Modi hold 50,000 people with his words. Even @POTUS [US president]is watching in awe," Shekhar Kapur said.

He said, "There's something undeniable about the charisma of this man [PM Narendra Modi]."
