Advice Diarmuid Foley

At a group discussion meeting I recently attended, the focus centred on news of another cut in milk price. Needless to say, the co-ops were the bogeymen in this discussion, as the justification for a price cut at this time was somewhat difficult to rationalise.

However, whether or not price cuts can be justified, we all have to accept that since the abolition of quotas the safety net is gone and price volatility is a reality that we need to work around. There is no point in moaning when the price drops if we fail to make provision for the rainy day when the price is strong.
