Three full-time Indian MBA programmes move further up in the top 100 slot
The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the Global MBA Rankings 2020 that features around 240 programmes. Indian B-Schools have improved their positions in the full- time MBA rankings.
As many as five full-time Indian MBA programmes have been featured in the list of top 100. IIM Ahmedabad, that stood at 48 position globally last year, has moved up to rank 40 this year.
IIM Bangalore has taken a huge leap from 71 rank in 2019 to 44 in 2020, followed by the Indian School of Business (ISB) at rank 98. IIM Calcutta failed to make it to the list of top 100 and is in the 101-110 range this year.
IIM Indore, IIM Udaipur and TA Pai Management are the new Indian entrants in the Masters in Management category and have been ranked in the 101+ bracket for their Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM).
INSEAD (with campuses in Singapore, Fontainebleau and Abu Dhabi) is ranked as the best programme offered in Asia, followed by Shanghai's CEIBS and the National University of Singapore.
Nunzio Quacquarelli, CEO, QS, said, "Prospective students today face countless options when considering an educational degree of management. These rankings help clarify the market in terms of identifying potential opportunities worldwide and illuminating the highest-quality options."
The Wharton School and Stanford University share the top spot in this year's global ranking. Nearly half of the top 100 MBA providers are based in the US, including seven of the top ten. The UK is the second-most-represented study destination among the top 100 full-time MBA ranking, with ten programmes featured in the list.
