Almost a month after a woman and her 80-year-old mother were drugged and robbed at their house in Sarita Vihar, the cops are yet to recover their stolen valuables or arrest the people who masterminded the crime.

NEW DELHI: Almost a month after a woman and her 80-year-old mother were drugged and robbed at their house in Sarita Vihar, the cops are yet to recover their stolen valuables or arrest the people who masterminded the crime. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police had caught the woman who had drugged them and facilitated the entry of two men who held the family at gunpoint and robbed them.

The victim woman now has written to the police commissioner, asking him to ensure that the mastermind of the crime are arrested, since she and her mother have been living in fear ever since the robbery. "Even after the arrest of the household help, police seem to have no clue about the two men," she said.
Police said that the two masterminds of the gang would hire women and get them employed at houses as helps. The women would pass on information about the valuables in the houses and facilitate their entry for the robbery. The men were found to be involved in four other cases too.
In her letter, the woman said that ever since the arrest of the household help, the cops hve recovered only the imitation jewellery that was taken. "I was taken to Noida to identify the woman's husband and some of the belongings. But, police couldn't find anything except liquor bottles that were taken as evidence," she said.
Sources say that additional DCP Kumar Gyanesh has been reprimandedand has ben asked to increase the patrol in the area.
