SS Srinivas died of a massive heart attack in the early hours of Sunday. He was 53.
Srinivas is survived by wife and son. He was admitted to a private hospital in the city at 5.30pm on Saturday after he complained of chest pain.
“There was no heartbeat and his blood pressure level was very low at the time of admission.
We could slightly revive him with emergency procedures. Subsequently, we conducted angioplasty and also placed a stent to fully revive the blood circulation. Unfortunately, he could not survive,” Dr PNS Haritha, senior cardiologist, who attended Srinivas, told ‘TOI.’
SCR general manager Gajanan Malya paid floral tributes to Srinivas.
Sources said that body of Srinivas was being shifted to Visakhapatnam for last rites.
