Bhopal: BJP on Monday sought to play nationalist card brazenly in the ensuing by-elections in the tribal-domination Jhabua assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh, scheduled to be held on October 21. The party portayed it as a battle of two ideologies, one representing India and the other characterizing Pakistan.

BJP Legislature Party leader in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Gopal Bhargav slammed the Congress for backing the ‘tukde tukde gang’, as the dissenting voices in Jawaharlal Nehru University are called, that “spoke the language of Pakistan and supported the terror-exporting ideology” of the neighbouring country.

“BJP represents ideology of India and Congress supports the ‘tukde tukde gang’ that believes in terror-exporting ideology of Pakistan. The Jhabua by-election is a clash between the two ideologies”, Mr Bhargav said while addressing a rally organised on the occasion of filing of nomination by his party candidate Bhanu Bhuria in the by-poll.

“You must decide whom to cast your vote, if for the ideology of India or the ideology of Pakistan”, the leader asked the people gathered on the occasion while exhorting them to raise the traditional saffron slogan, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
