Gary Player, one of the greatest golfers ever, has heaped praise on Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan calling him ‘my hero’.

In a short video message, posted on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) official Twitter handle on Tuesday, Player could be seen lavishly praising Imran Khan.

In the video, shot inside a car with another unnamed man behind the wheel, Player says that he has a message for ‘Mr Prime Minister’.

“I’ve been following your leadership now. I wish I had the words of Shakespeare or Winston Churchill to give you the credit that you deserve,” says the retired South African golfer in the video message.

Player, in his career, won nine major championships on the regular tour and nine major championships on the Champions Tour.

According to Wikipedia, Player, at the age of 29, won the 1965 US Open and became the only non-American to win all four majors in a career, known as the career Grand Slam.

“I’m so proud of you for what you’re doing for your region. May Allah be with you all the time! God bless my friend. You are my hero as Nelson Mandela was…,” said the retired golfer.

“May strength be with you! I know you’ve got many many challenges that you would need at least two years, I would imagine, to get your message across. But until then Allah-o-Akbar,” he concluded.

Freedom | 4 years ago | Reply Really nice word for IK from some local player. Same way Modi got it from President Trump. Can you see the difference?
