  • She added that she should get injections of a 'steroid' from a dermatologist

Chrissy Teigen has shared a public plea to Dr. Pimple Popper to help with a pesky bump on her chin after she claims the spot refuses to go away, with it first appearing four years ago.

The 33-year-old model-turned-cooking connoisseur took to Instagram Stories on Friday to share the problem she has with one bump that keeps appearing on her chin.

'@drpimplepopper please I beg u,' Chrissy Teigen captioned for one video showing her chin, which was bearing a long-term lump she was unable to remove on her own.

This sparked Chrissy to seek out Dr. Sandra Lee, also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, to potentially help her with the bump.

Dr. Lee stars in her own TLC show, called Dr. Pimple Popper, in which she shows off the bumps, cysts, and lumps she is able to pop or remove from patients' skin. These bumps, though, are typically very large and gruesome - far more aggressive than what Chrissy was showing off in her clip.

In her video, Chrissy said: 'This is a message for Dr. Pimple Popper. I have had this thing on my chin for maybe, like, four years now.

'It has no exit hole. I used to inject it with...cortisol? Cortisone? It gets bigger around my period.

'It’s unsqueezable, and it is ruining my life.'

It is actually not the first time that Chrissy has complained about the chin bump; in a video posted on Instagram and Twitter earlier this month, the model could be seen zooming in on the red lump while scowling into the camera.

'U piece of s**t,' she wrote on the clip, while adding in her caption: 'Tired of this s**t man.'

Thankfully, Dr. Pimple Popper was very quick to respond to Chrissy's request, posting a series of videos on her own story in which she explained exactly how the star should deal with the bump, while advising her above all else to 'be patient' and seek professional help, or else risk causing the blemish to get even worse.

'Be patient,' Dr. Lee advised, before adding that the model should 'get intralesional injections of a steroid from a board certified dermatologist' whenever the blemish becomes particularly 'angry' or inflamed.

She continued: 'If it comes to a head [if the blemish has an obvious white pussy top to it], have your dermatologist extract it/squeeze out the trapped contents under the skin.

'[The] very last resort is to excise it/cut it out but this will leave a scar!'

Dr. Lee then concluded: 'So be patient, it will eventually go away!'

However, the reality TV star was not the only dermatologist to chime in on the issue.

When speaking to Allure, New York-based skin expert Rachel Nazarian suggested that the lump was likely a cyst rather than a traditional blemish, and, like Dr. Lee, recommended a cortisone shot to dry up the bump quickly without the need of any serious removal.

'Usually, people run to their dermatologist's office for a quick cortisone injection to dry up those monsters within hours,' she told the publication.

The dermatologist also recommended applying ice to the cyst to help relieve any swelling on the area when working to rid the bump.

In a recent video diary for Harper's Bazaar, Dr. Lee revealed that she actually injects her own pimples with a steroid at home - although she noted that anyone who is not a board certified dermatologist should seek the advice of a professional rather than trying the technique themselves.

'I'm sorry most of you guys can't do this, but because I'm a dermatologist, I inject my own pimples, if I have one that I feel is under the surface of the skin,' she said.

To demonstrate, she aimed a 'baby syringe' into the zit after dabbing it with alcohol.

'If you have a dermatologist that you see, you can potentially [ask can they] give you a shot of low potency cortisol in the area and it gets rid of the zit within 24 hours for a prom or wedding.'

After Chrissy's desperate plea on Friday, a majority of her posts over the weekend focused on her spending time with her children.

She also shared with followers the food dishes she created for her family and her thoughts on apple-picking season. So it remains unclear if she was able to relieve the pesky cyst from her face.

Besides the bump, the former model's face appeared clear of any acne.
