Amethi: Three killed in house collapse
LUCKNOW: Three persons including a woman were killed and another suffered injuries after a house collapsed due to incessant rain under Mohanganj police station area of UP's Amethi district on Wednesday.
The incident took place at a time when the victims were fast asleep and could not make any efforts to save themselves, said the police.
The deceased were identified as Madhuri Yadav (30), her two sons Aryan (04), Arush (01) while her mother-in-law Ramjhara is critical and recuperating at the district hospital.

“Madhuri along with her two sons-Aryan and Arush were sleeping on the first floor of the house. They lived in Pakargaon area of Tiloi tehshil. Around 5am, the house collapsed due to rain and all three got buried under the debris. Hearing a loud thud sound villagers woke up and made all efforts to save them by removing the rubbles,” said Rajesh Kumar Singh, SHO Mohanganj. They later informed the police about the incident.
Police said Madhuri and her two sons were declared brought dead while her mother-in-law Ramjhara is critical. All the male members of the house had gone out for work when the mishap occurred.
Additional district magistrate (Finance and revenue) Amethi, Vandita Srivastava, told newsmen that Rs 4 lakh each will be given to the kin of the deceased, while rehabilitation is being provided to the victim’s family.
