An 18-year-old man was booked for allegedly raping a girl at a field near a village under the Bisanda police station limits.

PILIBHIT: An 18-year-old man was booked for allegedly raping a girl at a field near a village under the Bisanda police station limits.
The incident took place on September 23, but the FIR was lodged on Tuesday. The police have nabbed he accused and have sent the girl for medical examination.
According to the victim’s father, his 14-year-old daughter was passing through the paddy field where the accused was working on the day of the incident.
The accused then grabbed her daughter, dragged her to the field and raped her.
The victim did not approach the police soon as the accused had threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone, victim’s father said in his compliant.
SHO SK Singh said the accused, who was identified as Saurabh Kumar, was booked under sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code and sections 3 and 4 of the POCSO Act.
