Minor gang-raped in Saran village

CHHAPRA: A minor girl (13) was reportedly gang-raped late on Thursday evening by five youths in Doudpur police station area of Saran district.
An FIR has been lodged in this connection and all the five youths have been made named accused. Saran SP Har Kishore Rai said police detained two youths on Friday and they are being interrogated. “Remaining three persons are absconding.The medical report of the girl is also awaited,” the SP said.
According to police sources, the minor was on her way to deliver meal to her family members at a newly-constructed house located around 500 meters away from her old dwelling with her younger sister at about 7.30pm. The miscreants, who were waiting nearby, lifted her and took her to a desolate place. They then took turns to rape her. In the meantime, the younger sister informed the family members about the incident who rushed to the spot. But by the time they reached there, the miscreants had fled from the scene.
Police are conducting raids to nab the miscreants. After recording the survivor’s statement under Section 164, police sent her to sadar hospital for medical examination on Friday afternoon.
