The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted the Main examination today for the post of RRB Officer Scale 1. The main exam took place in a single slot.
The examination was held in various centers across the country, for which a composite time of 2 hours was provided. As compared to last year, this year, the level of the exam was moderate.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Sectional Analysis
According to the review given by the aspirants, the level of the paper was moderate. The section of Reasoning saw the introduction of new pattern questions.
Like every year, in the section of General Awareness, a major portion of the questions were asked from the section of current affairs of the last four months. In the English Language section, aspirants found questions from Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, and Parajumbles.

As per the verdict of the aspirants, the toughest section was the Quantitative Aptitude whereas Computer Awareness was the easiest section.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Main exam did not have sectional timing. Aspirants had to solve the entire paper in a composite time of 2 hours. The order of the sections are as follows:

Analysis of the Reasoning Section
The level of this section was moderate. Puzzles dominated this section with around 18-20 questions being asked from this topic.

Analysis of the Computer Knowledge Section
As per the review given by the aspirants, the section of Computer Knowledge was the easiest. Simple questions on basic operations and computer operating systems were asked.
Analysis of the General Awareness Section
The level of this section was easy to moderate. A major chunk of the questions was asked from the current affairs of the last six months. 5-6 questions from static GK were included and some questions were based on government schemes.
Analysis of the English Language Section
The level of this section was easy to moderate. Reading Comprehension was the highlight of this section, from where 8 questions were asked. Other important sections were Parajumbles, Cloze Test, Analogy, and Error Spotting.

Analysis of the Quantitative Aptitude Section
This was the toughest section of the exam. Maximum questions were asked from the topic of Data Interpretation. Miscellaneous questions from Arithmetic and Data Sufficiency were some other important topics.
