Give deputy CM's post to Sriramulu: Ballari MLA

BALLARI: In what appears to be more internal strife looming for chief minister BS Yediyurappa, G Somashekar Reddy, Ballari City MLA, has demanded health minister B Sriramulu be made deputy chief minister.
“Prior to the assembly elections, the people of this region, especially the ST community, had expected Sriramulu to be made deputy chief minister,” Somashekar said during an event to celebrate Valmiki Jayanti.“[Party national president] Amit Shah had assured him of the post. We [Ballari district BJP MLAs] are planning to meet the CM in this regard. Sriramulu is the most eligible leader from this region to become DyCM.”
Speaking on Sunday, Sriramulu said. “Not only the Valmiki community, but people of all creeds and sections of society want to see me as DyCM. Hopefully, I will be soon.”
