NIT Warangal organises the international alumni meet

The National Institute of Technology Warangal as a part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations has organised the International Alumni Meet and National Conference on "Transforming NITW as a World Class Technical Institute - Role of Alumni".

WARANGAL: The National Institute of Technology Warangal as a part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations has organised the International Alumni Meet and National Conference on "Transforming NITW as a World Class Technical Institute - Role of Alumni". The meet began on Thursday and was to continue till Saturday.
Prof CSRK Prasad, coordinator of the conference, welcomed alumni and their families, former and current faculty members, directors and principals of the institute.
He presented a summary on the events planned during the next three days and stated that there would be six technical sessions with 28 paper presentations; and a panel discussion, along with activities to unwind.
Arvind Jauhari, President NITW Alumni Association (NITWAA), addressed the gathering and presented a report on the contribution of the Alumni Association.
Prof N V Ramana Rao, Director, NIT Warangal welcomed the gathering and spoke of how the institute is growing from strength to strength.
The chief guest of the event Prof KK Aggarwal, Chairman, National Board for Accreditation, said in the era of Industry 4.0, one must focus on three I's- Innovation, Interdisciplinarity and Industry connect.
Later, the first batch of alumni and the chief guest were felicitated by the Director of the institute. Former principals/directors Y V Rao, Kishan Rao, Seetarama Rao, GRC Reddy, T Srinivasa Rao, R V Chalam, D K Tripathi and 40 retired faculty are felicitated. Twelve students of 1959 batch (first batch) were attended for this meet and they are felicitated.
