USA. Areas recently held a reception at Los Angeles International Airport to celebrate this year’s win at The Moodie Davitt Report’s FAB Awards for its Urth Caffé & Bar.
Urth Caffé, which opened in Terminal 1 in August 2018, was named Airport Coffee, Tea, Non-alcoholic Beverage Shop of the Year.
Last month, travel industry food & beverage and retail specialist Areas invited executives from Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), Southwest Airlines, the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Urth Caffé brand to share in the awards success. The reception also acknowledged the importance of its partners.
Areas United States COO Bill Casey said: “We’re very excited and proud of our Areas LAX team for working hard to earn this honour. Sharing this with our partners is the best way to celebrate.”
The event focused on an Urth Caffé food sampling which included the Urth Salad, the Diablo sandwich and the Tuna sandwich. There were also smoothie samples and, scattered throughout, the brand’s signature orchids. A toast was made, and another FAB award was ordered to present to Areas’ partners.
Areas serves 330 million customers each year in 2,000 restaurants and points of sale in 14 countries in Europe and the USA, as well as in Mexico and Chile in transportation hubs.
