HYDERABAD: Income-tax officials carried out searches on the ashram of self-styled godman
Kalki Bhagwan in Chittoor in AP and premises of his son NKV Krishna’s business associates in Hyderabad, Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on Wednesday.
Teams from Chennai assisted by local I-T investigation unit sleuths carried out searches in Hyderabad. The searches were carried out on
Studio N channel at Panchavati Colony in Manikonda, WL Structures Private Ltd in Jubilee Hills and other properties in Film Nagar.
Krishna owns these properties.

NTR’s father-in-law Narne Srinivas Rao was the original owner of Studio N. Later,
Kalki Bhagwan bought the channel in 2014 and has been running it since then.
The sleuths also conducted searches on Ekam-Oneness temple and his ashram at Varadaiahpalem in Chittoor district. Ekam is located on the premises of Oneness University. The searchers conducted across 40 places in the south were coordinated by the Chennai IT investigation team.
The spiritual guru, who was born as Vijay Kumar Naidu, was a clerk in Life Insurance of India. His ashram was much in news in 2008 when five persons had died and many were injured in a stampede.
The AP high court heard a petition in 2010 that sought action against him. However, there is no clarity on the outcome of the probe that was ordered.
