Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index rises; Indiabulls Housing Finance surges 10%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was up with its components trading higher in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 10.15 per cent), Indiabulls Ventures (up 4.96 per cent), Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company (up 3.46 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (up 2.66 per cent) were trading with gains.

REC (up 1.65 per cent), Power Finance Corporation (up 1.26 per cent), State Bank of India (up 1.13 per cent) and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company (up 0.83 per cent) too were trading in the positive zone.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.35 per cent up at 13,191.20 around 12:13 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 65.70 points at 11,652.05 while the BSE Sensex was up 216.87 points at 39,268.93.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, BHEL, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, SAIL, ZEEL, NBCC, BEL and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
