LUCKNOW: The family consigned body of slain leader Kamlesh Tiwari in Sitapur on Saturday evening. The family only agreed to conduct last rites after assurance from the divisional commissioner of Lucknow, of arranging a meeting with chief minister Yogi Adityanath, along with other demands including providing job for the eldest son, security for the family, and an inquiry into the complete incident.

However, Tiwari’s eldest son Satyam Tiwari has expressed his desire that the investigation of his father’s murder be done by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), because he has no faith in the local police.
Lucknow divisional commissioner Mukesh Meshram, along with Additional director general of police (Lucknow Zone) SN Sabat and Inspector general of police (lucknow range) SK Bhagat stayed with the family in Sitapur.
Meanwhile, the Lucknow police has also beefed up the security of the family and deployed four constables and a sub-inspector. It will also include one gunner each for the security of deceased's sons.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has told ANI that he will review the incident later in the evening, while he was ready to meet the family. “Whoever is guilty will not be spared,” said the CM.
