Secunderabad: Soon, SMS alerts to inform residents about water timings

SECUNDERABAD: Soon, an SMS facility alerting about water supply timings will be launched for consumers in Sanathnagar assembly constituency. Animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav made this announcement at a face-to-face programme held at Bansilalpet in Padma Rao Nagar, Secunderabad, on Saturday.
Over 200 residents, who attended the programme, complained about erratic water supply, vehicles being parked illegally and blocked roads in residential colonies.After hearing the complaints, the minister directed the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) officials to provide potable water, asked traffic cops to conduct special drive against illegal parking and take action against vehicle owners. About sewerage problem, Talasani told the water board officials to find a permanent solution.
He further said that ‘grievance box’ will be set up at various places in the constituency to receive complaints related to civic issues.
