    Girl harassed in UP shopping mall; 2 held

    Two men were arrested for allegedly harassing a girl at a shopping mall here, police said on Sunday.

    The incident took place on Saturday at the mall under New Mandi Police Station limits, they said.

    The girl raised an alarm following which the security guards caught hold of the accused, identified as Kashiram and Adnan. The police were informed about the incident after which a case was registered and the accused were arrested, police said.

    Pvt bus services resume on Jammu-Pathankot highway as transporters temporarily call off strike

    Private bus services along the Jammu-Pathankot highway resumed on Sunday after six days as transporters temporarily called off their strike against the toll plaza in Samba district after an assurance from the government to resolve their issues.

    The transporters gave the government 10 days time to address their demands, failing which they threatened 'chakka jam' across the state.

    They had gone on an indefinite strike on Monday, claiming that the toll tax was an additional burden on them given the increase in insurance, permit, traffic violation fines and fuel prices.

    Jawan stabbed to death in Telangana

    A 28-year old jawan of a para-military force was "stabbed" to death during a birthday party in Warangal district, police said on Sunday.

    The incident happened on Saturday night in Narsampet town of the district when H Prem Kumar, was stabbed by one person who attended the birthday celebration, a senior police official told PTI based on preliminary investigation.

    Gujarat: Moderate intensity earthquake hits Banaskantha

    An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 shook parts of Gujarat's Banaskantha district on Sunday morning, an official said.

    No casualty or damage to property was reported, the official at the Gandhinagar-based Institute of Seismological Research said.

    "The quake of 3.2 intensity, having its epicenter 30 km north-north west of Palanpur in Banaskantha, was recorded around 8.55 am," he said.

    Two soldiers and a civilian were killed as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in Tanghar sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Sunday, police said.

    India-US trade negotiations going in full speed: Nirmala Sitharaman

    Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Sunday said negotiations between India and the United States on a trade deal are going on in "full speed" and expressed hope that it will conclude soon.

    India expresses disappointment over lack of support for IMF quota increase

    India on Saturday expressed its disappointment over the lack of support to increase the quota structure of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

    IMF quotas, which are the primary source of IMF funds, determine voting shares. Quotas are supposed to be reviewed every five years although these reviews can be delayed.

    India views "the lack of adequate support for a quota increase under the 15th GRQ (General Review of Quotas) as somewhat disappointing", Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her address to the annual meeting of the IMF in Washington.
