Canadian figure skaters Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir made a stop at Westoba Place on Sunday as part of their “Rock the Rink” tour, where the pair performed their signature ice dancing alongside some classic rock ‘n’ roll tunes.

Virtue and Moir used this event to showcase other luminaries in Canada’s figure skating world, including Patrick Chan, Elvis Stojko, Kaetlyn Osmond and Carolina Kostner.

Toronto-based alt rock band Birds from Bellwoods were also on hand to warm up the crowd by playing a selection of songs from their back catalogue.

Virtue and Moir’s “Rock the Rink” performances double as a farewell tour, since the pair announced back in September that they are retiring from the sport of figure skating.

The pair have been performing together for the last 22 years and became household names in 2010 after they won a gold medal at that year’s Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

Virtue and Moir are looking to say goodbye to the entire country through these “Rock the Rink” shows, since the tour began back on Oct. 5 in Abbotsford, B.C. and is set to wrap up in St. John’s, Nfld. on Nov. 23.
