Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) has held regular medical check-ups for over 400 orphans in the Bagh district of Kashmir and Attock district of the Pakistani province Punjab.
This initiative comes as part of regular annual activity calendar for orphans sponsored by Qatar Charity, which includes educational and recreational activities, health screening, medication, vitamin, and participation of children in different global and national dedicated days like Global Handwashing Day, and World Orphans Day.
The medical tests comprised measuring pulse, blood pressure, heartbeat, breathing, skin, eyes, ears, stomach and cases of anemia and allergies. Some children were referred for specialized examination that included laboratory testing of blood levels, haemoglobin, and liver and kidney function, in addition to chest and nutrition examination. Based on the medical results, orphaned patients were provided with the necessary medicines and nutrition.
The sponsored orphans expressed their pleasure with the medical screening programme. At the end of the medical examination, the guardians of the orphans extended their sincere thanks to donors in Qatar for supporting the programme and to Qatar Charity for attaching great attention to orphans. Doctor’s team was also pleased and highly appreciated Qatar Charity’s interventions in Pakistan.
Qatar Charity has sponsored 1,500 new orphans this year in Pakistan. They receive monthly financial support, as well as have opportunities to take part in many recreational, educational, social and health activities.
Qatar Charity sponsors orphans through its ‘Rofaqa’ initiative. There are approximately 163,000 orphans sponsored worldwide under this initiative. The growing number of the sponsored reflects the love of doing good by Qatari people and their trust in Qatar Charity and its comprehensive care services provided for orphans.
