Riddick 4: Furya with Vin Diesel plans to shoot in 2020

"Everyone wants to be a beast until it's time to do what real beasts do."

Back in July, we passed along word that  PITCH BLACK, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK, and RIDDICK writer-director David Twohy has sent the script for RIDDICK 4: FURYA to star Vin Diesel. And today we're hearing that the fourth flick will begin shooting next year.

I guess this update makes a good bit of sense considering I don't think Diesel has another FAST & FURIOUS movie in the immediate future and we'll all just have to wait and see if his new BLOODSHOT (check out the international trailer below) movie is worth snagging a sequel. Either way, how excited are you to hear that writer-director David Twohy's RIDDICK 4: FURYA starring Vin Diesel is all set to begin shooting next year?

Let us know below!

The film that kicked off the series (and the only one I have seen) is PITCH BLACK, which centered on

A deep space transporter which crash-lands on a desolate planet circled by three suns. Among the survivors are pilot Carolyn Fry, cop William J Johns and convicted criminal Richard B Riddick, and their first thoughts are of survival and escape. Then Fry finds out that the planet suffers a total eclipse every 22 years, which is when the hibernating, flesh-eating inhabitants awake and hunt.

Directed by David Twohy from a screenplay he co-wrote along with Jim and Ken Wheat (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER, AFTER MIDNIGHT) PITCH BLACK was produced by Tom Engelman and starred Vin Diesel, Radha Mitchell, Keith David, and Cole Hauser. USA Films released the film into theaters on February 18, 2000. For those of you that don't already own the movie, you can snag a copy on Blu-ray HERE.
