Country Music Hall Of Famer Ronnie Milsap Graces The Weinberg Center Stage
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ronnie Milsap, winner of six Grammys, four Album of the Year Awards, and CMA Entertainer of the Year will perform at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on November 16, 2019 at 8:00 PM.
Tickets start at $45 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors.

Born blind, Ronnie Milsap discovered music at the North Carolina State School for the Blind, deviating from the school's classical curriculum to explore the nascent realms of race music, rock 'n' roll, and jazz. It wasn't long until he'd found his way into the local clubs and the tiny indie labels. Suddenly, he was sharing bills with Ray Charles and James Brown on a circuit that included the Howard Theater, the Royal Peacock, and more. Milsap lived in Atlanta, playing clubs and doing sessions. From Atlanta, he moved to Memphis where he was doing sessions with producer/songwriter Chips Moman and stars like Elvis. Charley Pride saw him playing rock and soul and suggested giving Nashville a try. Milsap has racked up forty number one songs and had five decades of charted singles. He broke genre rules and became one of the biggest pop/adult contemporary, rhythm and blues, and country artists of the late '70s and early '80s.
