1. Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy, the wives of two soccer players in the U.K., have sparked a popular online feud. Rooney posted fake stories about her life to her Instagram story that only Vardy could see, and just as she thought, every fake story was reported to tabloids. Vardy denied that she reported Rooney’s stories, saying she was disgusted to have been accused, according to Cosmopolitan.

2. YouTuber Blippi makes educational videos for children in which he teaches colors, animals, games and more. Blippi announced he was going on tour, so parents paid hundreds of dollars for packaged deals before they found out that the actor who plays Blippi, Stevin John, isn’t going on the tour. Parents paid to see an actor in Blippi’s outfit, and they were furious. Blippi’s team said they thought this notice was clear, although it wasn’t, according to Buzzfeed News.

3. Ellen DeGeneres was seen with George W. Bush at a football game, and Bush’s homophobic views and his presidency in general had many questioning DeGeneres, who then spoke about how important it is to love everyone despite differences. But amid the Supreme Court deciding to have transgender people protected from discrimination in the workplace or not, that wasn’t enough for people, according to Buzzfeed.

4. YouTuber Alissa Violet announced a chance to win Louis Vuitton bags in a collab with company Cheek. It took a while to announce the three winners, but then they were ghosted by both Violet and Cheek for over a month. The winners still don’t have prizes and Cheek, a sunglasses company, magically vanished from existence, according to Buzzfeed News.

5. YouTube sensation Trisha Paytas posted a video coming out as a transgender male, but things didn’t add up in the video. Paytas said many contradictory things about labels, her identity and how she thinks LGBT+ terms are defined, according to YouTube. Everyone voiced their disappointment over her using clickbait and not knowing what she was talking about, so Paytas posted a second video the next day titled “Apology,” in which she stated she didn’t mean to offend anyone, according to YouTube. She then uploaded a third video named “I’m QUESTIONING” the day after, claiming she was unsure of her identity, according to YouTube. All videos have many dislikes because of her poor handling of the controversy she made.

6. In 2018, beauty guru James Charles released a successful eyeshadow palette with company Morphe, and this week Charles announced another collaboration in which the same palette, now smaller and with a mirror and brushes, is being released. Charles did this to fix the three main complaints of the first palette, according to YouTube, but people are not happy with him, calling this a lazy way to have a cash grab, according to Cosmopolitan.

7. After Instagram user @sirtuss, known just as Thomas, passed away from addiction, friend Demi Lovato shared some encouraging words. Lovato herself has had a history with her own struggles, and she told her followers it is damn hard to fight addiction, reminding us all that it’s always okay to seek help, according to Today.

8. During a climate strike in D.C. at the U.S. Capitol, actress Jane Fonda and 15 other protesters were arrested for crowding, obstructing and incommoding. Fonda moved to D.C. to host teach-ins and rallies in advocacy for climate change. The 16 protesters might be looking at 90 days in prison, according to Today.

9. Camila Cabello is in the process of releasing her second album after “Camila” in 2018. So far Cabello has released “Señorita,” “Shameless,” “Liar,” “Cry for Me” and this week “Easy.” All five songs have been successful, and her album “Romance” has become perhaps the most anticipated album of 2019, according to Variety.

10. Victoria’s Secret is known for having no diversity among their models. VS, recently partnered with Bluebella to incorporate trans and plus-size models. However, Bluebella hired the diverse models, not VS. And their plus-size model isn’t even plus-size, she’s a size 14 (the average size of an American woman is 16-18). To top it all off, this model, Ali Tate Cutler, has a history of fat shaming, according to Cosmopolitan. If VS is going to do diversity after so many years, it has to be done right.
