Have you been to Kalimpong in West Bengal? Chances are slim that you would have visited it in the recent past. Indeed, this beautiful destination is gifted with lush greenery and amazing weather yearround.

This locale boasts of trekking spots that nature lovers indeed swear by.

Deolo Hill: This is the major attraction in East Kalimpong. Take a leisurely walk inside the manicured flower gardens and you will be bewildered with the breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga Hill range, Durpin hill and Kalimpong.

Thongsa Gompa: Take some time out to visit the oldest monastery in Kalimpong. Its architecture dates back to 1692. Some locals call it ‘Bhutan Monastery’. Reaching here is easy, near Mangal Dham. This is a truly peaceful location.

Jelepla View Point: Plan ahead for a nice walk uphill to get a spectacular view of Jelepla Pass. This used to once be an active trade route with Tibet. What’s interesting is that you can also witness the confluence of River Teesta, Reang and Relli here.
