UP board exams 2020: The Uttar Pradesh Board will conduct a special drive this November in its bid to provide error-free certificates to over 56 lakh students appearing in next year’s board examinations.
The schools have been directed to verify the data of the students. The teams of District Inspector of the Schools (DIOS) will verify the records and submit them to the board by November 15.
The board has also commenced an online correction process in certificates, where the students who appeared in the examinations 2017 onwards can apply for changes in the certificates. The students can apply through the website- upmsp.edu.in, or through seva kendras in the state. The correction process is totally free. The candidates have to pay Rs 100 in case of duplicate marksheets.
Speaking to Indianexpress.com, UP board chairman Neena Srivastava said, “The board wants to better the examination systems of the state, and this initiative is one of the many taken by the board to improve the conditions. We also don’t want students to suffer or face any harassment in future due to faulty mark sheets.”

From this year, the mark sheets will also contain names in Hindi, following the directions of Allahabad High Court. “The name, school name, and other information will be printed both in Hindi and English for the students taking Class 10, 12 examination from 2020 onwards,” said Neena Srivastava.
Earlier in March, the Allahabad High Court had directed the board to print names in Hindi and English in the mark sheets.
The board will release the list of examination centres by November 9. The list will be available at the website, and the final list will be released after getting communications from schools regarding their feasibility in conducting board examinations, the board chairman said.
This year, a total of 56,01,034 students will appear for the class 10 and 12 board examinations, which will commence from February 18, 2020.
