Kerala SSLC, HSS 2020 exam time table released

Kerala SSLC exams to begin from March 10. Over 4 lakh expected to appear this year while 4.5 had registered for the exam last year of which 98.11 per cent had cleared the exam.

The Department of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala will conduct the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Higher Secondary exams from March 10 onwards.  The exam will end on March 26. The vocational higher secondary exams will conclude on March 27, reveals a recent notice by the Board.

The model exams will be held from February 12 to 18 and the practical exams will be held between February 5 and March 5. As per the schedule, the first exam will be of language and last of chemistry. Here is the entire Kerala SSLC date sheet for the year –

In 2018, 4,34,729 students appeared for the exam in the regular section. 4,26,513 qualified for higher education. Over 4 lakh students are expected to give the class 10 equivalent exam of the Kerala Board. Last year, 98.11 per cent of students cleared the examination successfully. This was a hike from 2018 when a total of 4,31,762 students qualified the Kerala SSLC exam taking the pass percentage at 97.84.

Festive offer

To pass the exam, a candidate is required to get a minimum of 35 per cent marks in each subject out of 100 marks. For the Science subject consisting of theory and practical examination, minimum marks to pass is 20 out of 75 in theory and 15 marks out of 25 in practical.

A total of 37,334 students scored A+ in the SSLC result 2019. In 2018, Pathanamthitta had the highest pass percentage as 99.33 per cent students who appeared for Kerala SSLC exam from the region cleared it. Wayanad district had the lowest pass percentage of 93.22 per cent in 2018 exams.
